Bob Dylan Poster Rug
This iconic Bob Dylan poster was illustrated by Push Pin Studios founder, Milton Glaser - the same illustrator who designed the I heart NY logo as we know it today. Glaser was commissioned by Columbia Records to design album art for Dylan’s Greatest Hits album. His approach takes inspiration from the 60s San Francisco psychedelic music posters of the time, as well as a reference to a 1957 self-portrait of Marcel Duchamp. Glaser also used his custom font on this poster, one of many fonts Push Pin Studios created in the second half of the 20th century.
This is one of Glaser’s most circulated poster’s of his career, landing as the album art that sold over 6 million copies worldwide.
This rug measures 31” x 21” and can be hung on the wall with small nails going thru the rug at the borders.
